Mannequins store in Japan thanks to an initiative launched
for gesture recognition system from Microsoft for Xbox 360.
Store Mannequins United Arrow in Japan comes to life. Thanks
to Kinect. Passersby can see how the figures mimic their movements from the
window. Thanks to the gesture recognition of Microsoft for Xbox 360.
The system is responsible for recognizing the movements of
people placed at the window, and then send the dummy. The agency TBWA / Hakuhodo
has been commissioned to carry out this idea to capture the attention of the
public and now the initiative does not go unnoticed among the Japanese.
The Mannequins / robots can reproduce exact movements,
walking, moving his hands and even jump. They have been baptized as
Marionettebot imitating puppets and work through 16 cables connected to
different parts of your body which sends the signal recorded by Kinect. Mannequins
have come to fame due to the Kinect mixing with Microsoft Xbox 360.
A YouTube video from Mannequins shows how surprised passers
prove the Marionettebot skills, testing their ability to imitate all kinds of
movements. For now it seems that these individuals have passed the test dummies
and Microsoft is pointing somewhat with this new use for Kinect.
