The Audi R8 car was officially debuted at the Paris Auto Show on 30 September 2006. The car had a mid-engine structure, with the V8 engine mounted close behind the cockpit; it was based on the Audi Le Mans quattro concept car, and used Audi’s trademark quattro permanent all-wheel drive system. Audi R8 was exclusively designed, developed, and manufactured by Audi AG’s high performance private subsidiary company, quattro GmbH.
Audi R8 car comes with a 12-speaker Bang & Olufsen audio system, assisted by a microphone-based noise compensation system.
A sizable storage space behind the two luxurious bucket seats will accommodate small loads inside the cabin, and 3.5 cubic feet of cargo space in the nose.
It also features Audi’s MMI interface, with navigation, park distance control, and a backup camera.
Engine
The Audi R8’s car 4.2 liters V8 FSI engine was first used in the Audi RS4. Since then it has gone through several upgrades before being used in the Audi R8 car. It has been augmented in order to gain a 420 horsepower and 8,000 maximum rounds per minute. Other additions from its earlier predecessor include a dry sump lubrication system. Engine creates a torque of 430 Nm, and gives the ability to gain 100 kms/h in 4.4 seconds.

The newest Audi R8 car is available in nine colors: Brilliant Red, Daytona Gray Pearl, Ibis White, Phantom Black Pearl, Ice Silver, Lava Gray Pearl, Sepang Blue, Jet Blue and Suzuka Gray Metallic.
Price
The price for Audi R8 car starts at about $114,000. It costs considerably less than many exotic sports cars.
